So a few things...
Let me guess... after you buy a TV or iPhone or iPad, you still watch the internets and get upset when it drops 50% in value in 6 months or a better one comes out a few months after you bought one...things get better, and usually in a hurry, enjoy your purchases in the NOW...upgrade later...
Maybe trade it in for an awesome Detriot made POS Jeep Cherokee 9 speed that eats itself for breakfast. It has LED lights...ugliest car since the Pontiac Aztek but hey it has LED strip lights...
Anyway...I digress...if you know the next one is going to be great, sell your car NOW...get maximum value, take the HUGE loss over what was it? Some headlights, tail lights, and a bigger screen on the Navi-system....or...learn to love what you got, and hope this supposed update will solve most of our problems with the current system.
You still have:
A beautiful CX-5...they ride great, get good MPG, seats are comfortable, good sight lines, headlights work great (at least my HID dos), have great reliability, and doesn't look like every car on the road....I wouldn't trade my CX-5 for a CRV, RAV4, Santa Fe Sport, Tiguan, or Escape...all have better infotainment systems, but the cars are ugly or suck at being a daily driver...
BTW...even the Craptastic Corollas have LED light strips now...so I am over the whole..."oohhh LED strip lights..." LED isn't the future, it is the present. I am waiting for the next big thing....
Also: We knew about the CX-5 getting the current Mazda 3 infotainment system for over a year...anyone who wanted one was going to have to wait...BUT...my wife and baby were more important than 2"s and I bit the bullet on a 2014.5...it is a great CUV...everyone we know loves it...
I added LED lighting to my interior and exterior Fog Lights and DRLS, and license plate lights for like $100 and made the car look cool and current...try it, you might like it...
Signed,
A (usually) terminally second guessing consumer that is actually happy with his CX-5 GT with Tech (minus a few quirks) who believes the Japanese will fix our american plights of flightly GPS and USB iPodness...
