2016 CX-9 GT - Infotainment Reboot Loop...Help

For about the last year the infotainment system in my car has been rebooting itself. When it first started happening, it would intermittently reboot only when I first started driving, and it would only reboot once per drive. Now it happens every drive, up to 5 times in a row before resolving. If it is relevant to the discussion, I did install AA/CP myself prior to this issue starting.

The reboot cycle takes anywhere from 10 - 40 seconds and will not interrupt the radio if it was already playing. However, if I am using data from either BT or Apple CarPlay, that will stop functioning until the reboot completes and I disconnect/reconnect the cable.

I have done a factory reset on through the infotainment OS and a full electrical reset on the car by disconnecting the battery for 5 minutes before reconnecting.

Current OS: 70.00.367 NA N

Does anyone out there have suggestions? Any help would greatly be appreciated.

If an OS version update is recommended, I would love a lead on where to get that done.

I am absolutely not opposed to aftermarket options if they exist.

A lot of people issues are caused by the navigation SD Card going bad. Try removing the sd card to see if it solves the issue. (It is in the center console beside the usb ports)

If you want to update the infotainment system to the latest version, you can check this thread below. It looks like you are a few version behind. It is a very long thread but you can find the process in it, and it is fairly straightforward. There is also a point of contact to send a private message to in it as well to obtain the software update files.
