2014 Mazda 6
I told myself that this will stay as stock as possible. I was going to lower it, but i decided to just enjoy the car...it's a week old. Tint and blacked out roof will be done today, I'll post pics later. So far, took off all emblems, blacked out front emblem, 5000K HID kit for the fog lights, K&N drop in air filter, 4" exhaust tips, 20" x 8.5" Niche M128 Targa in Anthrocite, Hankook 245/40/20 V12 tires.

Very Nice! Those exhaust tips fit the car perfectly.

Do you fell any difference in the ride quality with the bigger wheels?

I still have the 19" wheels and tires that came with the iGrand Touring. These will fit a Mazda 3 or other cars with the same lug pattern, but not the tires. I am selling them for $1200-OBO with ship rates of $200 West Coast, $220 Mid-West, and $250. If you are in Los Angeles, local pick up is welcome. The tires will be mounted, balances and will include OEM chrome lugs. Please PM me if you are interested.

No difference in ride quality...road noise, yes! Turning feels more in control, but I can hear every rock and gravel being thrown into the fenders. This car is strictly for work and commuting and will be driving clients around. I wanted to keep it stock height for now but wanted to fill up all the space in the wheel wells. This combo worked best and it didn't jack up the stock height. We even tried 22", but with 30 series tire and driving through Los Angeles streets...NO WAY!. With the back seats folded down and 4 stock wheel and tires loaded, it had a nice sag, but i did get tire rub leaving Grand Prix Tires' parking lot. I also took out the spare tire, since it's now useless.

Yeah, you better watch out for rock chips on that beautiful paint. I would consider mud guards in front to not damage the paint too much. Instead of rocks flying inside the wheel wells, since your tires are pushed further out you'll have more chance of getting chips on the paint. I see alot of cars with plenty of rock chips in this area.

Anyways, looks really nice.

I was thinking of factory mud flaps, but I might do a clear vinyl in that area. Not a fan of flaps. I will go with gloss to match the dark tint. There is a Geniais here with a flat carbon roof, takes away from the look. It's not a race car and I'm trying to keep it clean. I've had my share of race mods in my life...just clean looks for now.

Looks bad ass! Nice!

What is the 500k HID kit? Is that just a replacement type bulb? I just hate the color of the fog lights i have now as it's so yellow compared to the xenon and LED the car has.

Sorry that was a typo. I meant 5000K HID kit for the fog lights so that they match the Bi Xenon headlights. Ordered them from Japan so that they are not the cheap China stuff.

Does anyone know how to get their hands on this body kit from Mazda Japan OEM factory? I'm interested in the side rockers and maybe the bumpers.

I want!!!!

Dark tint all around, ceramic clear tint on the windshield and moon roof, gloss black wrap up top. K&N filter dropped right in. Last will be LED lights and she's done...for now. The tips are 4" generic double wall stainless slash tips. Was $60 to cut stock tips close to the bend, weld taper, weld tips to stock. Mirrors will stay white. Thanks to Brian at Impressive Wraps for the roof, Ralph at SWR Motorsports for the tint and Chris at Grand Prix Tires for the wheels and tires.

Unfortunately, I decided to put the plates on...yes, the front ones. I drove my truck without a front plate for 7 years and it gets expensive. Even the meter maids give out no front plate tickets. I just don't want any reason to be pulled over and hassled for the tint, too.

Beautiful! How did you black out the logo? I have a black 2014 cx-5 do you have any recommendations for subtle changes like this? I'm relatively new to this game. Thanks :)

H11 HID kit were installed yesterday and the colors match at 5000K. 43000K may be closer, but it would be lower than the headlights. I'll take the slight brighter 5000K.

Install was easy, it was taking the plastic skip plate that took long. Ballasts and bulbs dropped right in. Now, just waiting for full LED set up that I ordered yesterday to arrive. Taking those ugly amber halogen turn signals out along with full interior and plates.

Blacking out emblems- Remove emblem and sand with 1200 grit sand paper. Spray 2 coats of primer, let sit for 15 minutes in between coats. Spray 2 coats of gloss black. Let sit for 30 minutes I between coats. Let sit for 2 hours. Spray 2 coats of clear gloss. Let sit 1 hour between coats. Install back into car. I used to just hit it with 2 coats gloss and be done with it, but it doesn't last. This way it last a long time.

CX-5, I suggest to start with tint and wheels. These 2 simple mods make a huge difference in the looks of the car. See if you can fit 22" on the CX-5. Pick a color scheme, dark gold with black overtone in 22" would look great on a black CX-5. All that black rubber trim, do a carbon fiber wrap along with pillars and front and back accents. This would make it very different from other CX-5's out there. What ever you do, be happy with it.

Here are some LED goodies that arrived today and installed. Door lights, rear license plate light, glove box, front turn signals, and dome lights. What a huge difference.

Last will be to add an LED strip for the trunk. The tiny wedge bulb's gotta go. Question...can I just splice the LED strip wires into the existing trunk light wiring?
