2014 & 2015 Grand Touring MPG?

Almost all my driving is cruising in the suburbs and I've had 3 tanks where I've hit over 29mpg with the AWD GT. I'm impressed.

Even if I was single and did not do anything but city driving I'd still get a decent vehical. Prius, yikes.

The new Accord Hybrid is way better than the prius. Full time electric, no transmission, and 50mpg real world.

While shopping for cars, high MPG was on my priority list. That being said, the Lexus CT200h was on my short list. While underneath it is basically a Prius, beyond that it is a pretty cool car.

Yes 55-60 mph. I said I drive like an old lady. The sweet spot seems to be 45-50.

It's funny.. when I am in my G35x the car just wants to be driven fast no matter the MPG. I don't find this compelling need in the CX. It's still very fun to drive but I also find it fun to see great MPG.

Only that the CT200h gets 43/40 MPG where as the standard Prius gets 51/48 MPG, has 50% more luggage capacity and costs $8K less. I don't think any of them is really fun to drive. From the two, I'd get the Prius.
The Accord Hybrid is pretty impressive and ingenious. It is $5K more expensive than the Prius, has smaller luggage capacity but larger cabin.

I owned a Porsche before the CX-5 and I never cared about gas mileage. The car was for fun and the MPGs was never a consideration. Now with the Mazda, it's like I hang on every 10th of a mile increase or decrease in gas mileage. It's kinda of a game for me. I guess I got this from driving my wife's Prius.

I agree with this. I mentioned this on an earlier post (45-55 mph) and most disagreed that 55-65 was the sweet spot, yet they were getting less than my 29.2 (calculated by math) (confused)

there's actually a lot of choices for 19" just by changing the width from 225 to 235 I got 30 results and its a good fit :

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/TireS...rformance=ALL&width=235/&ratio=55&diameter=19

That will mess up your speedometer. Diameter of tire will be taller since profile is 55% of width. You have to juggle profile and width to get same diameter and still have it fit in the fender. Diameter = 2*(width*profile) + rim diameter.

235 55 will be off 4%
245 50 will only be off 1%

27 mpg on the nose, cumulative since I bought it new early November 2013. 2014.5 GT. Minneapolis, so a lot of winter in there. mixed city/hwy, maybe 50/50.
