2012 CX-9 with Nav + Sirus iPod integration

Hi All,
This is my first post and I recently purchased 2012 Mazda CX-9 GT with Nav and Sirus.
I just want to know the options for integrating iPod into my car and use the steering controls to access it.
I read like the aux won't work with Sirus installed and I will be needing a switch to access both Sirus and AUX. Is that true?

Also will I be able to install iPod integration kit into my car with Sirus already installed? I don't mind loosing SIrus as I won't be using it.

Hi Charan,

I read elsewhere on this site that the iPod integration kit could not be installed if you have the Sirius option, as Siruis it takes up the available interface on the back of the radio where the ipod kit would plug in. If I can find the thread I'll post the link here. I have the NAV system along with an AUX port and can plug the ipod in there just fine, however can't control it from the steering wheel. Hope this helps.

If I am correct, the early models ('07 and '08) needs a switch box to handle two devices with one input.
Later models have this integrated from factory. No extra switch box need.
