2011 CX9 Center Console Rattle

Hi Everyone,

My CX9 is 2 months old with over 2,000 miles on it. Whenever I pass uneven or dirt roads, there's an incessant rattling sound coming from the center console. Lifting one of the lids and keeping it up seems to reduce the rattling sound, save for the most uneven stretches.

Anyone with a similar experience? Suggestions?

For clarity, I'm referring to the the large compartment between the driver and passenger seats. Thank you.

It's probably the cupholders' cover lid.

It maybe the butterfly lid armrest. I've noticed on mine that it was pretty tight to begin with but then it started to buzz and rattle overtime. Do you notice if it goes away when you place your arm on the armrest. My guess is that the mechnism that controls the latches may be affected by temperature cycles. Not sure though. It is annoying, but I still I like the lid design.
