2011 CX-9 Electrical lock issues

Hello!...I bought a 2011 CX-9 Touring yesterday. I cant lock the doors. with the key in lock, the power lock switch, or just pushing the lock by hand(it didnt come with a fob, just a key), it locks briefly, then unlocks itself..also, the door ajar light stays on, with doors closed, and the courtesy lights in the doors stay on..these issues may be connected in some way..also, the rear hatch doesnt open automatically, it beeps instead.., however, I can open the hatch using the lever on back hatch...does anyone have any ideas?...thank you...

Has it ever locked normally since you took possession? Or has it been like this since you got it?

This seems to be exactly what happens if I try to lock the car with the keyfob inside. Any chance the keyfob is stored somewhere in the car?

Either what sm1ke said or your door striker switch is broken on one of the doors. The fact that your courtesy lights stay on and the door ajar message is a clear indicator something is up. Not sure what door may be causing that but you'll need to figure that out. I suspect the vehicle won't lock with a door open, I never tried on mine but it would make sense.

No, it has not locked normally since I have had it. I will check for key fob, THANKS!

Good idea! Thank You!

I have figured out that if I turn on the turn signal, the door ajar light goes out, the curtesy lights go off, and the doors will lock
