2011 Back-up Camera Hack/button?

I was wondering if anybody has found a way to get the Backup camera to display without being in reverse. I am willing to install a button or switch. I know it is the Y/R (1M) wire in the back of the radio, but I am not sure if that needs power or ground, and if that would cause the transmission to shift into Reverse.
