2010 Tribute bad sound

Just bought a 2010 Tribute Gx v6.

Wondering if anybody has an issue with their stereo sounding muffled?

Treble at max and bass at the middle. Sounds like the treble needs to go a little higher.

Radio stations sound worse then a cd even local stations.

Just the base model stereo with cd player and 4 speakers.

ok.... The problem coud be the radio, because is a bad sound and the eq are in the middle and wont change?... I had a bad sound problem in the past month with an M3 2010 but the system is totally different. And what the dealer said about it? Did you tell him?

Drove it for the first time today. Wife had it all week.

When I adjust the 'bass' up and down there is a big difference. When I adjust the 'treble' up and down there is a difference but very little as compared to the bass.

We've only had it for 6 days.

i kniow what you're talking about....i just chaulk it up to a lousy system...i mean it works and all but it's a trib base system so i guess that's what you get?

Yeah I know it's a base system but isn't it 2009?

Every vehicle I've had over the last 15 years sounds better than this.


Unacceptable any way you put it.

Base or not, the sysem should 'sound' primo. Not asking it to blow the neighbours windows all to fuc.

Will find out next week what they are going to do as they are fixing a paint chip that was there when we picked it up.


'Murphy's Law' I guess.

Either way I'll get some compensation.
