- AccessPORT running the latest release firmware (v1.6.4.0-1353 or greater).

This Beta program will be limited to a small selection of Beta testers. If you are interested in participating in the 2010 MS3 ATR Beta testing process, please send an e-mail to calibration@cobbtuning.com with the following Subject 2010 MS3 ATR Beta Tester Application and include the following:

Full Name:
E-mail Address:
Forum Name(s), you must register on our forums and give us your exact user name so we can give you permission to the locked 2010 MS3 Alpha/Beta forums:
VIN:
AP Serial #:

You should have a response within 24 hours of submitting your application. Not every applicant will be accepted, so please do not be offended if you are not chosen. We need to make sure that the initial ATR software meets the communitys needs. We are looking for immediate feedback from ATR Beta testers using the 2010 MS3 Beta ATR software to datalog and generate custom AccessPORT calibrations. Please do not submit an application unless you are willing to extensively test this software with your vehicle and give us appropriate feedback.

Minor issues may be encountered along the way. Please be aware of this possibility when tuning, and we ask for your patience as we continue to test this software and run into any new/unknown issues. We are diligently working to get this software ready for a general release and any bug fixes should come quickly.

Here are the requirements for testing the software as well as known issues and current work-arounds:
* If you try to reflash the ECU with an APv2B using pass-through tuning more than 3 time without powering down the AP, the communications become slow. The work-around is to power the AP off then back on after you have reflashed the ECU 3 times. This should prevent the AP from slowing down any ECU communications. If your AP slows down at any time, this will be the work around for getting the communication speed back to normal.
* The ECU has a data stream cap and may stop responding if too many monitors are selected for the dashboard and/or logging in both the software and the AccessPORT. This limit is actually based on total bytes requested; in practice it effectively caps the number of monitors at 18-20. We are looking at ways to make this cap more apparent to the user without undesirable side-effects. The AccessPORT will crash and reboot currently; the software will likely disconnect. This is not new behavior but is much more likely to be induced with the greater number of monitors now available to the user. We have added a warning to the software that will notify you if greater than 14 monitors have been selected.

Installation instructions:
* Our system will send you an automated response via e-mail giving you instructions on how to DL the Beta ATR software for your 2010 MS3.
* We suggest installing to an alternate directory during the installation process.

Beta testers are required to provide us with the following information:
* Any observed bugs or anomalies. When possible, please provide the exact steps used to reproduce the issue as well. Any screen shots of odd behavior or video of any observed issues is very helpful in the diagnostic process. This is your chance to help us make things right!

Thanks greatly for your assistance in this process!

Take care,
COBB Calibration Team.

The 2010 MS3 ATR Beta application process is closed. We have a sufficient number of testers. We should have some initial responses out later today, and hopefully have the final candidate list finished by tomorrow.

Thanks greatly for your assistance,
COBB Calibration Team.
