2010 CX-9 dash speakers

** Sorry for the repost but I posted in the general thread and I wanted it in the audio area **

Does anyone know what it takes to remove the dash speaker grills on a 2010 Touring with base 6 stereo speaker system? I haven't been able to find a guide anywhere and I'm planning on replacing these speakers in the next week when my new door speakers arrive. I assume it may be as easy as just gently prying the grill out of the dash but I'm not sure.

Any info is appreciated.

I posted the same question. I have a 2010 CX-9 Sport with the base speakers system. If you're going to change out speakers soon, can you take additional pictures.

The 2010 "Should" be the same as the other models, but I don't have time to try it out any time soon.

They pry out. Use something like a plastic putty knife. Getting the A/C sensor out of the left grill can be tricky. The middle speaker grill is part of the upper center console.

Great. Thanks for the info. I was planning on doing just as you described with a plastic tool of some sort. For those interested, I'll post photos when I do this. There just aren't enough how to's on this thread with photos. Anyone know how these speakers are wired with the door speakers? I'm assuming in series, but I'm not sure.
