2009 ms3

2010 will prob have the 5 cylinder ..because..the ford focus in eruope is going to use it turboed ...with ford being partnered with mazda its highly likely this will happen

no doubt the motor is sick, volvo owners will tell you theyre essentially bulletproof, i was damn excited to hear they might make it into the ms3. In the end, dont hold your breath, I doubt that mazda is going to drop the DISI technology after it got such rave reviews from just about everyone who reviewed it (including a motor of the year award in 07)

there is going to be 09 ms3 new exterior colors are listed ....mazda website under news and under 09 glance

Wa? Why don't you just get an MP3 CD player and put it in your car. Then you won't pay 8k just to use MP3's...
Having the same payments doesn't mean you didn't lose your a** on your car, I don't understand that logic...

car and driver lists the 2009 MS3 as unchanged. the R32 is listed as dead! RIP.

R32s only come out for one model year only, the MkIV R32 came out in 2004 models only and now the MkV R32 was for 2008 only. The next R32 will be on a new Golf platform and hence why R32's resale values are crazily high (at least the 2004 models)...

I just got a 2008.5 MS3 GT last night. I was contemplating waiting for 3 months for a 2009 but got a great deal on this one. Was able to negotiate big time based on the fact that they had two 2009's ordered but still had a couple of 2008.5 GT's in stock.

This reminds me...

I've been meaning to ask everyone's opinion on whether 2008.5 or the 2009 would have a better resale? I'm not in a major hurry to get a new car, so waiting for the 2009 (already have a deposit on one) isn't a big deal. Of course 2009 has the year advantage, but getting a 2008.5 in the last quarter of a year will mean your average mileage based on 2008 model cars would be lower, come the time to sell it.

Does anyone know which generally has better resale? Buying current year but late in that year, or just stepping up to the next year's model (this of course assumes no major design changes, which is the case for the Speed3).

6 of one, half dozen the other...
in the situation you describe it would depend mostly on mileage...

directly from the 2009 mazda3 spec deck on the mazda dealer site. from everything mazda told the dealers. 2009 was supposed to be the the all new mazda3 to be released in january. i can only assume things were delayed, and they decided on the what is listed below. i am thinking they will just do an early release 2010 in early 2009. under mazdaspeed3 is says "Product Bulletin for current model year will be published at a later date."
