I recently purchased a 2009 Mazda6 and am having problems with my AM / FM (non-Bose) radio's reception. The stations I normally listen to are static'y. I have taken the car back to the dealer and was told that this is "normal" for my car. This was after they double checked that all was well with the factory installed antenna.
Has anyone else experienced a similar problem? Any solutions? I am guessing that the antenna is in the rear windshield since my car's exterior has no antenna mast. Consequently, I can't just buy an after-market shark fin antenna.
