- 2008 Mazda5 5MT Sport w/ Popular Package
The 5-Speed manual is no longer an option with the Touring package, only available on the Sport model
It looks like my area dealers inventory in 2005 :-(. That sucks (yupnope)

So manual is now only offered on the Sport, and even then in only three exterior colors? Is the new tan interior available? Also, can a Sport be ordered with a sunroof?
Yet another reason I'm happy I got an '07! (cabpatch)
Where did you see this?
Edmunds let's you build an '08 Sport 5m and choose Brilliant Black, Copper Red, Galaxy Grey, Golden Sand, Stormy Blue and Sunlight Silver.
In the Sport model:
Sunlight Silver (22V) >> Black Cloth (CC5)
Galaxy Gray (32S) >> Black Cloth (CC5)
Copper Red (32V) >> Sand Cloth (CC4)
Moonroof (MR1) is as an option and requires the Popular Equipment Package (1PE), both options ARE NOT offered on the 5MT models only the automatic transimission !
BTW...all this information is directly from the 08MY MAZDA5 Spec Desk (9-04-07) from the dealership.

At least you can get everything in the Popular package and fogs as acce$$orie$. The AUX input sort of makes up for the lack of a CD changer.
Fogs aren't too difficult to put in, I only broke one plastic clip in the process![]()
My other worry is that the few area dealers may not bring "bare" 5MT Sport MZ5s as they don't sell well around here (i.e. like in Canada or California), so I may also need to also drive somewhere "far" to get the one I want. (
Check out the picture showing all of the seats folded down, viewed through the open hatch. What are the 2 switches in front of the open tray on the console? Heated seat switches?

LOL! This is what it says it is used for: This pole is for informing to the driver where the left corner of the dody is. It is necessity for my wife![]()
I noticed that Flickr have the photos that were on the blog link a few pages back, only you can select to view them 'ALL SIZES' which gives you a zoom version better than the blog flash ones. It would appear that you can also download the large images.
In fact, the zoom is so good that you can see the Toyo tires and the 'Aux In' wording!

That and the mirrors mounted on the fender are common Japanese thing. Wicked cool, huh?

The stained-glass tails are growing on me too, despite first impressions.
