2008 Mazda3 not fueling up completely?

I have a 2008 Mazda3 Sport Hatchback. Just recently, I noticed that when I fill up my tank, the fuel gauge does not go up all the way to the top.

Typically, the needle goes past the "F" mark. Now, it barely touches the "F" mark. I will take a picture when I fill up later today

Any ideas before I take it into the dealer?

is the needle coming back down with fuel consumption?
Dealer will probably just ask you to monitor the situation - not much they can do.
