2008 Mazda CX-9 GT Front-End Noise

I'm getting a metallic clunk noise in the front end. Often times it happens while turning the wheel to the maximum amount allowed (in either direction). Sometimes it happens while riding over uneven or pitched pavement. Sometimes it happens while driving down a downwardly pitched driveway or similar where I need to make a stop at the end.

I did have the strut groan issue at one point and the mounts were replaced per the TSB.

I've taken it back to the dealer to have them take a look on at least 4 separate occasions over the course of a year+ and so far they've failed to resolve the problem. A front left tie rod end was replaced a number of months back (which I thought was odd -- and of course, did not solve the problem). The most recent visit of a couple of days ago, resulted in a TSB service being performed that didn't apply to my VIN range. The service manager stated that the symptoms were the same and it involved messing with the hub (though I'm not sure which TSB that would have been based on the list at Finish Line).

In any event, I'm wondering if anyone else has encountered a similar issue? Today I had a friend record a couple of videos from outside the vehicle demonstrating the problem. I put them on Youtube:

Demonstrating moving forward with wheel turned:

Noise occurs at about 9 seconds

While moving in reverse:

At about the 42 second mark

Any assistance is appreciated!

I watched your video and the noise sounds similar to a noise I had on my rav4 a few months ago. It used to only happen when I was backing up and hit the brakes. The problem was being caused by the brake shims which were not in place correctly.

My dealer ended up performing TSB 03-006/08, just because they found that 'issue' as well.

I found another listing of TSBs online, in particular here:
http://www.alldatadiy.com/TSB/34/083478a3.html

Unfortunately, Finish Line doesn't have the PDFs for all of these, and thats where I always looked in the past.

My problem sounds just like "03-004/08 KNOCKING NOISE FROM DRIVESHAFT WHEN TURNING IN EXTREME COLD TEMPERATURES"

In fact, I told the dealer that cold weather seemed to be connected, so I'm not sure why they weren't able to dig this particular bulletin up. I'm not sure if the two bulletins overlap with their repair procedures in any way, but I'm interested in getting the PDFs somehow to compare.
