2008 Mazda 2 cenrtal locking broke - hatch wont open
Hello everyone,
Im new to the forum and I came here looking for advice. I am the owner of a 2008 Mazda 2 Sport. Recently my car was crashed in the back by a motorcycle and I had to replace the hatch and rear bumper. The thing is that now the hatch wont open, the guy from the repair shop that replaced the hatch said that he had to disconnect the central locking because the hatch fault was preventing the car from being locked at all. I took it today to an electronics specialist and said that the car computer was not sending signals to the rear part of the vehicle and that I might had to get it replaced at the dealer. I really want to avoid this since Ive already spent several hundreds after the crash, so Im looking for any alternatives on how to check out whats going on with the hatch and central locking.
Im not too versed in car electronics but I could understand schematics and directions on how to check and diagnose the issue.
Best,
