New to the forum, but figured I would start with some pics of my install in my 2007 Speed3.

The system consist of:

Pioneer Nav unit
Dynaudio tweets
Dynaudio 3" dome mids
Dynaudio 8" mid-bass
Inverted JL Audio 12W6
JL Audio 300/2
JL Audio 300/4
JL Audio 500/1
Audison Bit One processor

In the pics, the Bit One and the 300/4 are beneath the two visible amps. Just couldnt make 3 amps look right. I tried one next to the other, but end to end they are as wide as the hatch, and three laying side by side didnt look right since it looked kind of strange with the fins all facing one direction. I went for the two like you see it because it kind of reminded me of an engine block.

Thanks for looking.

The last two pics with the LED lighting looks bright in the pic. Its just the cheap camera phone pics. The lighting is really a deep red and looks really nice.

More bass than I would ever want, but the install looks vey professional. Also welcome to the forum.

Not set up for a lot of bass. I guess you could make it boom if one wanted too, but not my goal. Just needed a sub that could go low. Its capable of being loud, but I never seem to get the volume up much.

WOW, I need to hear that sometime. I've always wanted some dynaudios back after I got rid of them years ago. Might be worth the road trip to listen.

I really like the Dyns. I ran a set of MB Quart 328 3-way component set for almost 16 years; figured it was time for an upgrade. Those poor Quarts had been through a lot of installs over the years. I think I will give them some well deserved rest. I will probably install them in the wifes car since she wont abuse them the way I did over the years(wow)

Updated pics with beauty panels in place.
I will be repainting the center panel around the amps and sub. I tried to buy spray paint that I thought matched the wheels, but not even close. I guess I will go and buy automotive paint. Sucks the smallest you can buy is a quart.
Anyway, here are the pics. The panels left of right of the center panel is black carpet to match the factory carpet.

Wow, SUPERB set-up. I got Focal k2p-s in the frontdoors, Hybrid L1 Pro tweets and a Fi Q15, an SQ-SPL setup here, still under construction(rlaugh).
Why did you put the mids and tweets down there? How is your sound stage? You`ve got very nice components, easily capable of SQ contests.
Excuse my gramar, I don`t speek english frequently(chair)

I like the focals. I have run them in the past, but this go around I needed a shallow mount mid range. It was either the Dynaudio or the Morel's. I have had Dyns in the past so I decided to stick with what I knew. Would still like to try the Morels in my next car.

Ok, but why have you put your tweeters down there? I think I`m going to put my on the dashboard, or, in the stock position(near the mirrors) in a custom build framework(??is this how is called where you mount the tweeter, "framework"?).
Don`t you lose your sound stage because of the position of your tweeters? I would put my mids up near the head too.
How is the BitOne? In my M3(it`s truered) I got an Alpine 9835 and I want a BitOne too (rockon)

The tweeters would be much better on top, do you still use your stock altenator? Do you use a power block for the 2 power cables?

The tweeters were placed down low in the kicks for the more equal distance for the listeners. I probably could have installed the tweeters in the sail panels and corrected the length issue with the Bit One, but the bit one came later in the install. I still have the stock alternator on the car. I have a single 1/0 power to the rear and a 1/0 ground, both going to a Sound stream power plant. The power plant distributes power and ground. It accepts the 1/0 power and ground and then distributes 4 ga power and ground out to the amplifiers. The lights will dim a little if I am really jamming, but that doesn't happen often since I mostly listen to Jack Johnson, Corey Smith and the likes.

I don`t have my 9835 instaled, still the stock HU with a MTX RE-Q, and the tweeters hanging on the dash bord(haven`t instaled them yet); and I can obtain a sound stage without timealignment(aka 9835 or bitone). You can easily put your Tw and Mids in the sail panels if you`ll desire more SQ.

PS: How hard does the roof come of? :P I`m going to instal SecondSkin all over my car

The mids and tweets will soon be going into the "A" panels. I just need to find the time to get around to it(friday)

Excelent decision(dance), I don`t know for sure wich is the A panel, but I hope it`s the first one, the one in front of the listener(2thumbs)
Keep in touch
