2008.5 White crystal MICA Mazdaspeed 3
Well, let me begin by explaining the situation. I studied the MS3 before they even were for sale. I wanted this car. I owned a Protege 5 (if your interested check cardomain and type my name EviLNiXXXoN). Loved the P5 and bought a Red MS3 for 26k OTD. Brought it in for normal TSB, motormount, etc. They found a left side Leak in the axle and replaced the seal. This happened 3 more times. They even replaced the axle once. I filed a complaint with the BBB and Greg at the Mazda North America customer service arbitrated (pre-arbitrate actually). He offered a 100k extended warranty, 500 Mazda gift cert, and would make two of my payments ($435). I declined. The dealer said the book value was 17k but I owed 20600. I talked Greg into paying the GAP. Then I bought a crystal white mica off the showroom loaded with every option for 28k OTD. I don't know if I should have purchased another...but I love this car. What other car could I own with all the Speed has to offer? Just my experience. Let me know how you feel.

Geesh, the first offer sounded pretty good considering you can get left over 08 GT's fully loaded for 22500. WOW! It is nice to hear however that Mazda responded to the BBB arbitration respecively. I have seen the same process with Toyota. They too were customer oriented.

Not around here...

They may sell where you are that cheap but not here. When I say loaded, I mean with all the extras: Navagation, Homelink, mirrors, both types of mats, etc... The nav alone is 1900 and then tax. Anyways, I have a very nice car now. Hope it stays that way.
thanks for the post.

We have some dealerships here with 08's in their show rooms. They still have 08.5's as well. They are seriously discounting the 08 GT w/nav and all options and our dealerships here give us all weather mats with the car. Strangely enough, we were the ones that told them they could get allocations for 09's. It was unknown to them a week ago.

you did fine. as long as you have a MS3, all is well with the world!! the chances of you getting another bummer are pretty much 0&0. if you do get another lemon MS3, i would suggest you lock yourself in your bedroom and never let anyone in. they are probably there to hurt you!! lol

that was a stupid thing to do. first of all, yeah it sucks you had all those problems with your first one, but it sounds like they were gonna compensate you very well with the extended warranty, 500 gift and all. and then you seriously got ***** on the price for the second one. you could have almost gotten a brand new evo or sti for that much money.

uh idk where your getting your evos and STi's, but those cars are well over 30k w/ same options...

edit: i just checked, the sti starts at 35k...

I'm just wondering why you didn't take the first offer? That warrenty and two payments covered would have been more worth it to me.

I would've given it back too. Who wants to deal with the hassle of repeated trips to the dealer for a recurring problem that probably couldn't be solved?
It would've been an ongoing headache, and having owned a 'troubled' Altima, I can testify that it's not a situation that you want to spend years dealing with.

Let me explain a couple things...

See the 2007 Red that I had was a lemon with other issues. When I first purchased it, I found a chip that had been repainted and then it peeled. They let me repaint it. Next, A home Depot was built across from where I live. They painted on a windy day and overspray carried over to all vehicles at my work. They compensated us but the paint would not come off all the black rubber pieces. There was a door ding, a chip in the A-pillar, and several chips in the front bumper. The oil leaking from the axle completely coated everything underneath the vehicle.
I received a brand new White Mica, loaded with no issues. I can't even start to touch a Canadian price if they are as low as I have heard. Dealers in Tennessee do NOT sell that cheap. Anyways, the point being missed is this: anytime you buy a vehicle it loses value the instant you drive off the lot. My loan was through my own bank at 5.9%. I was upside down almost 4k. They covered the GAP. I purchased the car on the employee "S" plan. Basically I paid employee price, got my 5.9%(with a 670 credit score because my wife is self employeed and claimed loss last year), and received a warranty beyond the factory. I feel happy. I would like to see the paperwork from any of the people that claim they sell so cheap. I am shocked that there can be that much difference in price. I have heard many people claim they sell cheap, but NEVER had anyone back it up with proof. LOL, I was dealing with Mazda North America, and the $35 dollar Edmunds report put their cost over what some of you are claiming.
BTW, I forgot to mention I live in a small town that is 50 miles from the dealer. Seven trips to Nashville cost me about $1000 gas, lunch, and time from work. :bs:(protest)

Thats where I bought my speed also. I think they have pretty good customer service. Pretty cool everything finally worked out for you.

Nice, what color did you end up with?
Yeah they aren't too bad. I might have done a bi better, but at least I am out of the original problem vehicle. I really don't believe I was ***** as someone else said. I got it tax and all for the MSRP.

Please post just one dealer number that would sell a loaded 08 w/nav, and optional leather/suede seats for 22500. I think we all would all like to know. thanks, tthippy

PS Crystal MICA white is a 200 option as well.

You OBVIOUSLY know exactly what I am talking about. It sucks going back and forth, calling into work, gas for rental (bring it back as full as when you got it!), etc.

My time is valuable. To me, it is better to say case closed! LOL(usa)

That sir is just BS. (nuts)

No way possible to get a brand new EVO or STI for 28k OTD! Back it up with one dealer's number that will sell it BRAND NEW for that. I will buy one!
