hope this isn't a repost
" What Edmunds.com Says: Its predecessor was always quick in the turns, but lacked power. Let's hope Mazda gets a clue with this version and gives it the horsepower needed to keep up.
What We Know: Already one of the best handling vehicles in its segment, it looks as though the Mazda 3 will finally get the Mazdaspeed treatment sometime next year. Prototypes spotted in Europe show a large air grabber hood that most likely feeds a turbocharged version of one of its four-cylinder power plants. Given the current horsepower numbers being generated by some of its competitors, we would hope that this version of Mazda's 3 would have at least 200 hp. Visually, the Mazdaspeed 3 will feature a more aggressive front end than the Mazda 3, partly for the purposes of differentiation, but also to accommodate the turbocharger. Judging from photos currently circulating, the Mazdaspeed 3 will also feature a modified exhaust with a larger tip than the standard version of the vehicle."
