Off Topic 2007 Ford Explorer - Steering Wheel Vibration

Hey everyone,

I have a question regarding my 2007 Ford Explorer. I tried posting this in the Ford Forums, but your account needs to be accepted before you are able to make any posts, and I am currently waiting to be accepted.

At high speeds, usually above 65 mph, my steering wheel shakes as if my wheels were not balanced. However, I have gotten my wheels balanced and aligned at my local Ford dealership, so I am unsure as to what the next issue might be. The vibration can be felt throughout the entirety of the vehicle too. Can you guys give some suggestions as to what might be the next cause of concern regarding this issue?

If you are 100% sure the wheels are balanced properly then it could be an axle issue, either the front axles or perhaps the driveshaft to the rear. Did they check for any wear on those components? The wheel bearings should also be checked for any play as well.
