Just completed the 2007 Compustar Pro install and was wondering if anyone has a Compustar Option Programmer 500 to program the option 1 and 2 tables. Anyways, I love the Compustar Pro and would recommend it to anyone.

Did the install yourself? I installed the OEM Mazda alarm system but well yeah that was a plug and play harness. I've done plenty of other wiring in my car so I'm sure I could handle it, but how was the install? Is it hundreds of wires all a mess?

Which model did you do? I like the concept of a 2-way remote, but I think the remotes look horrible and way bulky. Why can't they just put a real true lcd on them or somethin?

Well I work at a shop that has one and I'd be willing to do it for you.. just so you know if your not a compustar dealer or authorized employee you have no warranty on your unit

ugh well I'm not about to get certified or pay the craptastic-shittyyyyyy audio shop up here (authorized compustar dealer) to install it. My roommate got the top 1-way (uses the 900mhz remotes) remote start alarm turbo timer compustar installed in october and he's STILL dealing with getting it working. He's on his third brain for the alarm, I'm thinkin they didn't wire it correctly haha. Parasitic drain on the battery, turbo timer doesn't work, alarm randomly goes off, etc. All after I recommended that he get a compustar >_<

You live in MN? Yeah I know there is no warranty, but it is better to install yourself and save some money you know? And I have never had a Compustar brain ever fail on me. They are the most reliable alarms on the market. I think you would agree. If you could program some of the options that would be great. It says you need the programmer to program menu options 1 and 2.

lol well it's not just a "getting certified" thing.. to be honest.. you really do need to take it to a certified person

ahh yeah it's a really nice programmer compared to the ones.. much smaller... yeah I live in MN so if you ever wanna get over this way let me know and I'll do it for free
