Any ideas who makes the stereo system other than just 'Mazda'? Kenwood, Clarion, Pioneer?
I wanna buy a satellite tuner but don't want to spend over $300 from the dealer. Online Circuit City said a Sirius Pioneer tuner ($99) would fit, then said no.
Mine has a sticker with the manufacturer (Clarion) but it is an '07. Pop the radio out of the dash; you will probably find the manufacturer name on it somewhere.

I believe Mazda has gone through three different manufacturers since '04. Those are Panasonic, Sanyo, and Clarion. The Clarion HU's are in most '07+ models, and you most likely have a sanyo one. If you pull the HU it should say the make on the white sticker on the top.
That being said an aftermarket satellite receiver (regardless of the brand) won't plug into the HU and work. You have to go with the mazda specific one.
