Who needs Air Conditioning? Kills gas mileage anyway right?

Come live in Puerto Rico for a few months...We'll see if you still say the same thing! ;-)

Specially when u have to wear a suit to work! (rant) (eyeballs)

and it seems that the first year production of this vehicle (2004) seems to have a lot of problems with major problems being the air conditioning, excessive rear brake dust and something about the automatic transmission.
That's odd ... I haven't had problem 1 with mine aside from that time the wife left the dome light on all night. :)

A/C problem? Ehm, it's no worse than the MSP's A/C and believe me, it gets crazy hot down here (Louisiana).

isn't it true that running the a/c is better for gas mileage since putting your windows down creates more drag?

For those that have issues with rear brake dust, AC, and rattling from rear.

My week old 2005 M3 hatch works fine. I just keep it on recycle and on 2 or 3 for fan power(any higher and the air comes out too fast to feel really cold).
U should NOT have to keep on 2 or 3 (besides, that's way too loud). It's suppose to work properly at 1.

And, what will they do about te lackluster paint if anybody knows?
thats my main complaint. anything any little piece of debris touches the front of my car, it takes all the paint off down the dark color underneath.....I hate it. I really want to repaint my entire front end and make it about 3 times as thick

Talk about hating your paint. My silver 3 Sedan has the driver and pass doors slightly darker than the rest of the car. I had the dealer and a body shop look at it and they both agreed that the car wasnt painted. Looks like it's from the factory this way. They must've ran out of paint or painted the doors separately. This new environmental paint is so fragile, it's not funny.

I wonder if adding extra layers of wax will help protect it from chips; otherwise, we can always get 3M clearcoat type hood protector.

first week into ownership, i had the check engine light come on. took it in w/o an appointment and found out it was misfiring other than that no problems.

My ford has the clear bra and it has really saved the paint. i think i will shell out the money for my 3.

Oh it does work great on 1 but when I get into a hot car here in Bakersfield, you want alittle more air flow then what 1 puts out, lol. That least until the car is cool and then it goes to one and keeps the car cool from there.
