2004 SRT-4 stage 1 vs. Thumper MSP

the numbers were on a dynapak, the same one used to tune Jamie's Car (tekkie). Jaime made like 253 whp on that pak with stock turbo and emanage.

my TQ was off because my timing was being pulkled like a mother at about 4750-5500 rpms.

At idle, my timing was -9.5 degrees, why was this?

also my stock IAT sensor is shot, it was reading -40 degree Farenheight durring the runs. I guess Dan, the tuner, said that maybe since the sensor was reading incorerrect, the ecu was pulling timing for safety...

if you notice on the videos, the car @ high rpms starts to smoke black like a pig rich setup, too much retard or flame overrun...still fast and strong.
 
my car did the same thing on the dyno, puffs of black smoke. How much timing should you pull on a MSP ecu thats been flashed if you have a piggyback? sorry if this is a thread jack.
 
So where are the new vids bryan???? You were quick to post the ones of you kicking my arse(bike) ..

The new vids we took last week, we were pretty much dead even. All I did was tune it and pull off the middle exhaust part.... and im still using the stock 2.25" exhaust, with the stock cat.

It was funny I dynoed at 270/300 and he dynoed at 285/250 and we were pretty even from all gears... (I think?)

How much does a MSP weigh?

Someone jump in and tell me if I'm wrong with this: won't the extremely retarded timing in an uber rich environment run the risk of burning the exhaust valves out?

When we first ran, and he walked me I was just Stg1 with a Wastegate. I would think I had around 230-240hp @ the wheels and maybe around 255-270 wtrq.

After the tune and the exhaust thing I dyno'd @ 270 and 300.

The most recent vids of us that he hasnt posted are with those number above.
 
everyones gonna call me dumb but is a srt-4 stage 1 the same as a stock srt-4? i thought they put like 220 or so the the cam, im jw. btw, congrats on the win, keeping up with an evo would be sweet
 
Stage one just refers to having a Mopar Stage 1 - An ECU and injectors on 03's, and just an ECU from 04-now.
Stocker puts 220ish to wheels, S1 I *think* is 230-240 to the wheels.

I thought so, its been along time since my Neon days (one of the first 50-60 members @ srtforums.come [1qwikrt]). I have had a Mopar since 99, I really miss my first gen coupe, but I am glad I bought the MSP. I really wanted a white SRT (my R/T was white), but I got this car for 16 out-the-door new, and there were no white SRTs at the time. Now they have white, and an ACR!!!! Although I am glad I have my car, a white ACR is heartbreaking!!!!!!!!!!
