2003.5 pics from BC Port ?????

Sweet, the grey is awesome. Has anyone out there enquired about deliveries times for the 2003.5's?? Clearly will be months later than any dealer says but a rough est.?
I don't think it will be months later than the dealer says. Here is what I think:
The limiting factor of the 2003 delivery times was all the troubleshooting. The cars spent up to 6 months after getting to North America just sitting waiting for parts or ECUs or whatever. The 2003.5s will not have this problem.

The fact that the 2003.5s are in BC (and possibly Michigan) is a good sign. The fact that many dealers haven't even received their allotment of 2003s is not. I think unsold or undelivered 2003s will be the only thing that can delay the deliver of the 2003.5s.

Feel free to quote this when we're posting "My Titanium MSP Delivery Delayed Until October!" :)

i hope all you people waiting for 2003.5's get delayed due to THEM ALL BLOWING UP AND THE HEAD ENGINEERS DYING AND THEY CAN NEVER BUILD ANY MORE

I'll pay someone money for gas if someone will go take pictures at the dock! I'm desperate

I've pretty much made up my mind.%90 sure. But, I need to see a pic of it in REAL light, nice and close before I tell my dealer. I need to tell them by Monday.

Simply put

If the grey is this color, like the pcitures Digi168 posted

I'll get the grey

If it's this color

I'll stick with the orange. I find the 2nd one looks to dull, almost like primer.

Although, I love the orange in the sunlight, I've seen it a few times now over the past week, and in normal overcast light, it's really dull, almost peach. The color seems to go from one xtreme to another depending on light.

Grey would just be safe. What I am wondering about the grey, is are the flakes as noticeable as orange, because that effect is gorgeous.

So, a good picture, hopefully in the sunlight, of the grey is going to make my decision. But me dealer is obviously wanting to know asap.

If you want more examples of that paint color, look for pictures of the 2002 SE Miata. It's the exact same color. I've seen the cars in person. It verymuch reminds me of the titanium color used on the current crop of Aston Martins and Jaguars.

Thanks Jason.

Am I correct in saying that the RX 8 comes in a different color. It's on their site as Titanium dark gray. And it looks VERY dark. It also comes in silver which is nowhere near the Speed's color.

And gujustud...I would be very greatful. Hope you got a good zoom

Man, I'm just finding all kinds of info now. I'll be an authority on Mazda paint colors!

The RX-7 Spirit R comes in the same Miata/2003.5 MSP titanium...

This guy's Cardomain page has nice pics of his 2002 SE Miata in varying lighting conditions. And here's another one. The metal-flake seems to be as prominent as on the orange in the close-up sunlight pictures.

There is much debate over the silver/titanium colors on the RX-8 Forum. The picture on the Mazda RX-8 site is horrible, makes the titanium look like dark gray. Most of the other pictures make the titanium look darker than it really is. This is by far the best:

So, yes, the RX-8 titanium is the same as the MSP titanium.

good stuff. I'm at %95 sure for the grey....besides, the woman just changed her mind on the orange.

I got my doubts the grey flakes are going to be as dominant since with the orange, the flakes are a different color, gold. That's why they stand out so much. Whereas grey is just, lighter grey flakes.
And this color would 1000 times easier to keep clean.

The worst part about the grey cars is not knowing when they'll arrive. Look how long the orange cars took. Granted, they were waiting for some part, but what if the something similar happens to the grey cars? What is everyone's best guess on when the grey ones will arrive at dealers? Put it another way - if there were no delays with the orange ones, how quick would they have been in-and-out of port?
I can wait until late spring/early summer, but no longer.
I really hope the titanium MSP shows up at the Toronto auto show. Pictures don't do the orange one justice, and the same is probably true for the titanium one. I've never seen that colour in person (Canada never got the titanium special edition Miatas).
