2003.5 mp5 4,500 miles REMAN ENGINE

MY car has 4,500 miles and MAZDA has told me if the Eninge is the problem they will install a remanufactured engine.:wtf: The car is three months old why not a new one? This is what I am beginning to think of MAZDA.(butt) (bling) (bird) (gun) (direct) (nana) (braindead (jerkit)

tell them you want a new one, it was their new one that they sold you that is fukked up so they should replace it with another new one. Unless you bought the car with miles already on it.

Hell tell them for pain and suffering you want them to stick the MSP turbo engine in there =P

Or say the only reman engine you will take is the JspecFSDE.....like either of these last two options are evn possible but it is what I think dealerships should do if they were really there for their customers and not the dollar. really should give you a new engine.

sometimes remanufactured is better than brand new.. the reason is they pull the whole thing apart and rebuild it then test it... NEW.. comes off the assembly line and has a higher failure rate.. just a thought. -=)

Only if it qualifies under the particular states Lemon laws, which is usually 4 or more attempts to fix the same problem without success. Since this is his (assumingly) first problem blowing his motor, then the dealer has no obligation to buy it back.

i have a feeling this is true. its already broken in

just have them remanufacture it and move on. its a little strange to hear stuff like this about a p5

He bought it new. The engine blew. The dealer wants to replace the new motor with a reman (remanufactured) motor.

well, i guess that is a good deal
considering the fault was on the member,
not the motor itself, right, like, not mazda's fault

plus as stated before, it could be no more than 4.5K miles
thus, it has been broken in, and you could enjoy it right away

plus, aren't you getting it for free, even though it is your fault
i guess you are lucky on the part
or am i missing something here?

This is the whole story

I did not say for sure they are going to replace the engine. They are still waiting for a responce from MAZDA as what to do next. The tsb for the cold engine knock was completed, but the car still rattles and knocks. The dealer said it is awefull loud. The sound it makes is very simular to a rod knock in my mind. If you rev the engine to about 2,000 RPM and then raise and lower the rpm by about 100rpm it sounds like the rods are knocking. It also does this under light acceleration. The noise appears to go away when the engine is warm. The best part of this right now is the rental car which I was given. It is a TOYOTA and guess what, no noise when it is cold. There has been no real solid diagnosis other than the tsb has been completed and the Engine is still very loud when it is 15 Deg's. The car has been at the dealer since Monday and they said They probably would not hear anything untill this monday. This is the complete story.My dealer has said they are trying to do any thing they can to keep me happy and get my car fixed.

How the hell can you start flameing me when you do not even know me,or how i treated this car.:wtf: For your imformation if you would have read the posts you would have seen that my car had its oil changed first at 1,200 miles and then again around 3,900. This far exceeds what Mazda recommends. If there is a problem with this engine it was not caused by me,it was a f*** up from Mazda. I have had several cars that were pushing 200,000 miles. (asshole)
