2003.5.... I'm dissapointed...

Scott....damn buddy, that's looking good!

i was sitting in my car today....waiting for the woman .... AGAIN, anyways, I know the seat pattern in the 2003.5 is different, kinda of a square checkered pattern in the seats right. But, what is on the doors? In my MP3, the seats match the doors. But, it's a completely different pattern though from the Speeds. Do the doors match the seats in the speedS?

This has been a great weekend for 2003.5 pics so far, nice to see the new guys contributing so eagerly and the site getting back to it's roots.

I'm supposed to get more pics sent to me via email sometime this weekend as well.....for sure I'll share if I get them.

Thanks for the warm welcome, folks. I've had the car for about 28 hours now and have already put over 250 miles on it. I just can't get tired of it.

anyway, yeah the whole interior pretty mutch matches.

Now I have a quick question for anyone who can answer it...How can I tell what number in the run my MSP is? I figure it's somewhere in the VIN, but can't seem to decipher it.

Well Have the 2003 and like it a lil better than the 2003.5, but they both are very sharp. The one thing I like better about the 2003.5's though is the stitching on the shifter boot! wish mine had orange to match the seats! It looks like a better material to, kinda like a heavier leather. I would love to find a replacement boot from the 3.5 that has the orange stitching! I know the Yellow car matches with yellow stitching, but I dont know what the titanium one has for stitching color... any1 know? maybe I could get one from the dealer if it is orange.

You could probably make one if it was that important. Being that there is no orange 03.5, I doubt they'll make something like that.

SCOTT, dude... that is one sweet lookin' car!!
Welcome to the forum.

I think I'm going to shut my mouth about this 2003 vs 2003.5 arguement because both car designs just kill any other sedan out there and are as a** kicking as the other.

We're not worthy!!
(bowdown)

ps-how do you add something to the smilies? We need the 2003.5 MSPs there.

cbcdb...well put

The Titanium has yellow stitching....why, I do not know. Then again, the black has orange so Mazda is too cheap to match the colors better.

Do you get the same feeling as me going from a "real" clutch to one of these- it feels like you are going to put your foot through the floor when you push the clutch down it is so easy :)...
Joe

yeah, the first time you get back into a car with a stock clutch you feel like its never going to engage... haha oh well, I'm used to it now. It's been a while since I've had a nice clutch... but soon very soon will that change :D

Scott: Very nice MSP!

90 percent of the posts talk about how good this car looks...Ok that's supposed to be the difference between an 03 and 03.5...But the looks of my car really only matter for about 10 seconds from my house's door till I get in the car. And once I start driving the slow car I say "lamb in wolf's clothing". Granted you guys have much more oomph than my P5 but honestly it's how it drives. The MSP is a little slower than fast but takes the twisties like no other. Both versions are great cars.

Yeah, they are both great cars. If you like the way one drives, then Im pretty damn sure you are going to like the way the other drives.. Why? Because its the SAME CAR.(internally) So really there is no need to compare the differences between the way each car drives. This is why everyone is talking about the appearance.
