Ok I know this has been discussed a bit, and I searched the forums and general internet but couldn't find much to help me.
I need to remove the radio to install an AuxMod Basic. I am trying to remove the cover but I'm stuck on that, I figured out that I had to remove the heat/AC controls and then I was able to pry the panel off with a flathead screwdriver, but there is at least two wires connected that is holding me back from taking off the entire panel. There is a wire going to the emergency lights button and a wire going to the heat/AC controls. I can't, for the life of me, remove the wire from the emergency lights button or the other wire. Can anyone offer me some help.
Also, I would like to know if I'm on the right track here. Do I even need to remove the entire face panel in order to get the radio out or is there a simpler way of doing it.
If someone can offer of step by step instructions on how to remove from the beginning to end that would be great. I have those tools to remove the actual radio unit, but I haven't got that far to need them yet.
help (confused)
