azian6er said:Dood, you are off base. Who do you think I am, some racer boy who throws parts at cars for no reason, or just because spending money - go fast? If so, you really have construed me in the wrong light.
I have tried SO MANY combinations with this car, 3 different turbos, 3 EMS', and various other modifications/ideas. All I am saying is that if i had it to do over again, i would have done it this way.
Why waste money on internals if they arent broken? thats ludicrous. The sotck rods can go for 250whp if not more if treated correctly (ie enough fuel, high octane gas, cold charge temp). 505 zoom has already demonstrated this.
All i was telling the poster was that if he wanted his car to go the fastest it could for the amount of money allocated ie. 2K, then these would be the mods. I stand by that list, and I really find it amusing that you think you know more than I because you have read all the posts from various users on the forums regarding our bad engines etc.
I would put my 2K setup against yours any day of the week for reliability and power.
So in essence, people like YOU crack ME up haha.
DOoOoOd.....how am i off base? We are arguing because you told the poster to buy a 1100 turbo to reach the goals he stated. I know i'm not a rocket scientist (dont worry you arent either) but i do know that if the stock turbo can reach his goal and do it efficiently, then it would be a complete WASTE of 1100 dollars to swap turbos.
Lol, a "racer boy who throws parts at cars for no reason." when did i ever imply that?! i used to think you were a credible poster but i dont really think so anymore. spending a grand on somehting not needed is absurd.
"If you had to do it again, i would have done it this way." He doesnt want to know what you wouldve done to your car, he wants to know what HE should do to reach HIS goals. Obviously you and the poster have different goals.
Who cares what combinations you have put on your car, the point of the matter is still the same thing. the stock turbo is more than enough for what this guy wants. and does anyone else remember whyyyyyy he should keep the stock turbo. im thinking becasue its already on teh car and it doesnt cost an additional 1100 dollars...
Why do you keep giving the 505zoom example. ok he did it. he has 1000 mods. his engine is holding. now look at the hundreds of others who havnt been able to last. i remember kicker was pushing 240 or somthing in that range and he blew his engine. there are countless people who blow em. 03msp i think thats his name had full standalone prolly running about 250whp and he blew his engine recently.
"I really find it amusing that you think you know more than i because you have read all the posts from various users on the forums regarding our shitting engines etc. I would put my 2k setup against yours any day of the week for reliability and power." OMFG and now i can officially call you a racer boy. lets start at the beginning. when did i say i knew more than you. I SAID what you said about upgrading the stock turbo is absurd. WTF would he waste 1100 dollars when he doesnt need to for the goals hes looking for (just in case you didnt remember, this is the entire point of the argument ONCE again). What does reading posts on the forum have to with the point i am making? it should be a fact by now. anyone with common sense could comprehend what i am saying.
LOLOL you would put your 2k setup against mine. 1) WTF are you calling me out to race (extremely racer boyish, nice

You imply you are god's gift to import tuning. I know i am not by anymeans. ONE LAST TIME here is the point im trying to make.........when the stock turbo (oh yea its on the car, its already paid for, there is no installation or modifications needed) will produce the power he needs to reach his car (and some), then upgrading to a larger turbo is a complete waste of 1100 dollars (not to mention the hassle of installing).
I think you said it best earlier, So in essence, people like you Azian6er, crack me up.......
