there is no standalone on the market thats going to effectively control the direct injection system.
there are so many reasons not to even consider this swap. the engine sits reverse of the protege one - intake in the front, exhaust in the back, etc. custom motor mounts would be a must. axles and transmission likely aren't a fit. the parts and engine itself are going to set you back a fair penny. ok, a fair few thousand dollars.
honestly, in my opinion, the whole "engine swap" approach to anything with these cars is pretty meritless when you look at it from the standpoint of results per dollars spent. build the engine, turbo the car and nine times out of ten you'll have spent less and be making more power than any motor you are going to swap into this car. plus, with the perhaps exception of the KLZE v6, there aren't any engines that drop right in. we sadly do not own hondas in this respect.
