2.5in straight pipe

Stock is 1.75" I'm fairly certain. But that's what I did... no res, no cat, no rear muffler. It's fooking loud.. but you're right.. the lopes it gets.. put's some V8's to shame haha. Still haven't done any highway driving in it, so I don't know how bad it is on there, but I've gone WOT in it now, and it reminds me of my Race-Prepped Integra, noise wise, not speed wise lmao.

BTW, when I get the money, I'm gonna be going 2.25" from the manifold back with just a resonator on the exhaust.. maybe with a flange so I can pop it off for some fun ;)

hey buddy. wheres some videos? i wanna hear stock "straight". =]

light pull to 4.5k. dont want to go WOT cuz it was like 10pm... lol i didnt realize how loud it is on the outside.also the camera is pretty far from the car on the road.

I'd love to see the dynos between 2", 2.25", and 2.5". And to hear the difference between 2" and 2.5". I had a N/A Neon R/T years ago and bought a 3" exhaust for it anticipating turbo build and it never happened. It had the flattest torque curve I've ever seen, and the deepest tone of any N/A neon I'd ever heard. Literally the dyno graph looked like a table top lol. Didn't make much power but damn was that 'curve' flat hahaha

Couldn't we figure out some sort of e-cutout system with a switch that would let us have the best of both worlds?

i thought about doing that. have 2 seperate pipes (and 2 tips out the back for extra racecar)

one be stock
one be 2.25-2.5

then have a switch to open one or the other. depending on the driving mood im in

Hmm. I think I will be visiting a muffler shop soon. 2" most likely.

2 in straight should give you the power and sound you want without it being v8 loud on the highway. not sure about tork/hp yet as a dyno will be needed to see what happened there.

but eventually ill get one. setting one up with nator at SSP soon.

My car performance wise is 100% stock. Other than lighter wheels.
So depending on price. I'll get a dyno before and after. But like I said depending on the price.

for me the dyno is $60 for 3 pulls and 100 for 3 with a/f.
but since its a group dyno the more the less i pay. so everyone come down to houston lol

wheels and tires can be a major play in power.

look at the ZR1
runs 10s on drag radials. stock.

2"? 2.25" sounds like a good compromise to me, especially with other mods like intake.

I think that 2" would be just a tad on the small side. IMHO.

Stock is 1.75" and the only other performance mod I plan on doing for awhile is intake. .5" is too much for such little power gain. I would like to keep my low end power where it is unlike Mazdamatic haha. Its a DD just trying to give it more zip.
