2.2L Diesel for North America?

Mazda is bringing its 2.2 Skyactiv Diesel to North America for the Mazda 6 (next spring, last I knew). The 2.2L Diesel is already in the European Mazda 3. Does anyone know whether it will be offered here in the 3, and if so, when?

This all depends on how well the 6 Diesel is received and sales of the Cruze diesel.

I'm hoping it'll be in the Mazdaspeed3, in racing guise. I'm probably the only one though.

I don't see why they wouldn't put it in the 3, maybe as a mid-cycle refresh. Probably don't need it right now though, the 2.5L is a frigging joy.
