1st to 2nd

So I'm a student at UGA, and was heading down to Jacksonville for the big game last weekend. Right before my friend came to pick me up I was watching a bunch of vids on youtube, such as a turbo m3 and all that. Well I had the itch to go for a drive so I decided to take her out for a quicky. Anyways I take it to redline in 1st with traction control off, and going into 2nd the car just jerks hard due to engine movement I presume. I just want to make sure this is normal. It hits pretty hard and makes a bang noise, when I do it.

the first thing I did when i got my ms3 was replace the MM, and i don't remember hearing any bang noises, or having jerks that were hard going into 2nd I think that has more to do with timing than anything. Like timing your shifts so they hit perfect with RPMs.

First thing I did as well was replace the MM, I got a TRZ poly, makes a huge difference. With the stock mm go up to your car and just shake the engine front to back, now imagine how much it shakes when theres actually load on the engine.

But on a serious note... the game was a sad day for dawgs... but UGA all day.

and as for your motor. it's normal. Don't wind up first gear and slam it into 2nd. do hard pulls from 2nd on until you got a motor mount, other wise you'll be banging ur engine around like a $.10 ***** from Gainesville.

Thanks Guys. Ya here in the south its all about that football. But it was a sad day and being surrounded by gators fans that kept doing the Gaytor chomp didn't help. But I gotta hand it to them they played really well.
