1st MSP WITH AEM EMS

I thought it was "used" just not really released yet. Not much has come out of it yet... not enough people and not enough tuning yet... Be interesting to see where it goes though as it has plenty of potential..

Am I the only one actually running the microtech or are there a few more with it and up and running? I know pro5 has it.. just isn't up and running right now.

Lots of good management solutions for us... kudos to the vendors for that!!! :)

Thanks MPI, Wagner, and Spool (R.I.P).

roni's car also does not run right with the aem if im not mistaken, as in other s*** that should be working in the car doesn't like ac, and some other stuff.

well the microtech had that issue as well... the AC clutch is hardwired on my car.. just runs all the time I guess... something like that.. and the tach doesn't work (you can hook it up but it will fry the gauge cluster) so I replaced it with an aftermarket and it works just dandy (dropped it into the stock spot... looks decent/ok at the least). So the microtech had issues like that.. there is a lot that goes into these systems and sometimes electronics do some seriously weird stuff... so if that is the case with the AEM I'm not all that surprised... but then it's not quite as PNP as it was originally made to sound. Great system though if it can control the engine and the car runs generally good! AC is for wimps ;) Kidding... I'm probably keeping mine in when I put things back together... I thought about tearing it out... but dunno!

i dont have ac, i pulled the comp, condenser out, **** that s***. my car is also gutted to hell and i drive it maybe 1 time a week too =)

Hmm, move to Phoenix and use it as your daily driver, then we will see...your seat cloth will be a different color from salty sweat after a summer here.

LOL.. yeah I hear you... but you should get one of our 100 degree days with a 90% humidity... that stuff is beyond terrible... I'd take a dry 100 any day over that stuff! But we don't get it anywhere near as often as you guys do..

Then you can come up here and enjoy our -15F mornings in the winter .... with windchills hitting -90... fun stuff :)

On a MSP don't think so they have a MP3
Ahh true.... but in all honesty... once you override/pull the ECU the MSP is no different than the turboed MP3's, P5's, and proteges.

Just to let you guys know that this unit runs off a 3 1/2 bar map sensor and not off the Mass air sensor.
Are you tuning it via air pressure loads then or are you tuning to TPS?

Looking good...

AEM
Haltech
Microtech

Everything is possible, its on the tunner to make the car work. All engines are the same principle.

humidity is blown way out of proportion. i was just in florida before that hurrican hit in pensacola visiting my parents. it was 90+ and 90+ humidity almost everyday i was their. id much rather have that, then 100+ s*** we have, with no humidity. heres how i compare the two:

humidity weather: yeah, you sweat.... so. it acts as coolent for your skin

arizona weather: yeah you really sweat, its like cooking grease for your skin

arizona heat its like instant burning, at least the humidty cools your skin down, thats the best way i can explain it.

id take humidty + heat over just heat anyday!!!

but that's where you are a little wrong.. the sweat doesn't do anything in humid weather and that's why you think you sweat more because it doesn't evaporate as well becaues the air is so saturated. It is much "closer" and more "thicK" when it is humid. Both suck no matter what.... so no biggee either way. But I've always preferred the dry high heats over the humid crap we get! Probably because it is different to me... like humidity is different to you!

but anyway.. how bout that engine management! :)

off topic, i still am with batmang on 90+90 over the 115-120 s*** we see there in the shade. it literally feels like your skin/tissue/body or whatever instantly starts to cook when you go outside, then you try to jump in your pool to cool off and the water is 85+ degrees and feels like a bath tub......playing football with the sprinklers on is good though. =)

/on topic....glad to see yet another ems fully adapted to the protege setup, especially when it can also be an option for the N/A tuners.
Keep us updated with pics and hopefully dyno scans soon.

Is this full go now though? or is this just a test phase, and it will be a long time before anyone else can buy one? I am not very good at sitting on cash that I set aside for something...too much stuff I want...

Andrew Wagner did it again this is avaliable now through Andrew. This is the first MSP that has the AEM EMS in it. Andrew will be posting the dyno of it in his website Wagermotorsports.net in about a week so check it out.
Congrats. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Roni runs an AEM EMS... so I'm confused on how this is the first? She did hers with Perfworks and Wagner...
This is the first MSP to have one. And I have an MP3 like you.

FYI: My car runs great!
My a/c works, it just has the capability of stalling the car at idle until I add one little wire to allow the EMS to sense the load of the a/c. The AEM is fully capable of handling the a/c load, I just need to figure out where to get the wire from that shows the load.

My plan was to have a Map sensor, but I haven't gotten one yet.
