I missed 3 i think I let the cluth to fast and didnt put in 3 I just heared grrrr.....and the during normal driving also.....maybe I didnt pay attention
DO anyone have problem with first sometimes I can't put into 1st like something is on its way. I have to step on clutch 2 times and its fine ..... anyone??

i can't put it into first all the time. like, i'll be at a stop light and try to put it in gear and it doesn't go in... annoying as s***.

lol! Yeah you really got to be on top of you game to drive this car correctly if you know what I mean. If you're even a little tired or not up to it don't even bother. You know I really like the car but it's got its flaws nonetheless.

same thing but not to offen maybe twice a month I think its the factory s*** any one got it also ??
Its like on the stop, like something is on the way of the shifter when you want put 1st

I have ran across the same problem, theres a small 'hitch' in first gear. in my case i can make approximately half of the throw then it stops, feels like its in gear , but you can tell that it hasnt gone all the way. if you let off the clutch just a hair and give it a tiny touch of gas it pops right in.

i took it to the dealer and they said they could find nothing wrong with it, then i actually took the mechanic for a ride, and let him feel the 'hitch'.

the best the dealer could do was tell me that the tranny wont let you shift into first gear if you are going more than 15mph, so that you dont blow the engine. gee thanks!

I find going into second then putting in into first helps alot (with clutch in of course), especially when moving with the clutch in coming to a stop. If I put it in first gear while moving, I get that nasty whining noise even though the gear is not engaged.

Just practice my principle.... I ONLY put it into first gear when I'm at a complete stop. Had a friend mash his civic into first at 15 or 20 mph-ish.... let's just say he learned to take off in second ;)

With the several standards I've driven I've noticed a similar thing - doesn't happen all the time but occassionally - so I do like lestat and not put into first unless I'm totally stopped - can't think of any instances where I've felt like I've needed first while rolling, even when driving spirited.

wow I was getting ready to make a post about this.
If I'm going any more than 2 mph it seems, It wont let me into first without a fight. Then if I try to start in second I have to feather the clutch a lil to keep it from stalling.
08ms3bmI find going into second then putting in into first helps alot
I do that too
Also giving a little gas with the clutch in then moving into first seem to help.

I also grind 3rd alot while driving spirited, but i guess its a common issue.
