1st Autocross event

Just thought I'd post a little note and stick some pics up. It was an absolute blast. Aside from damn near wasting a set of tires, It's was awesome. I did really well, especially for a first. Not many there this time. It was a BMW club outing. I think there were only 2 or 3 there that ran a faster time. A 2003 M3 that was driven by an avid autocrosser, an old school M3 (yea the aluminum block, 210 Hp, 4 cylinder one), and a Z coupe (M class). All 3 normal auto x racers. I was real close to them three also. Anyway, check out the pic.

P.S. Of couse I smoked the Probe, WRX , and Audi TT Quattro!!

Very cool pic! Now see if you can find an SCCA event in the area and see how you do in a class of equally prepared cars. You'd most likely be in STS with the wheels you have.
Best part is that BMWs are supposed to be faster than our cars. Good to know you were showing well.
And most important, you had fun. That's what it's all about!
I was at our Divisional Championship this past weekend. I got schooled. It was my first time on race tires (The kuhmos) and I didn't get the feel for them until it was too late. Oh well, maybe I'll do better at National.

I've owned 2 BMWs, a 3 & a 5. They are faster, but they don't even come close in the handling department, and on an autoX course, they just don't seem to cut it.
DO miss them though.
