Hi,

My name's Loz and I am a Mazda owner over here in the UK.

I've had an intermittent problem with starting on my 626 for a while now which has just reared its head again.

When starting (usually when the ambient temperature is high, not necessarily when the car is warm though) the car cranks, fires briefly then dies with the immobilizer light flashing on the dashboard. Sometimes it will fire on the third attempt other times I can try 10 or 12 times before the car will actually start. It's been fine all winter but now that the weather has started to warm up it's causing me problems again.

I have heard that sometimes the distributor can get hot and lose it's connection causing a similar problem but that doesn't explain why it'll start then die.

Any and all help would be MASSIVELY appreciated!
