Hello all
I just joined this community to ask if overheating is a typical problem with the 1996 mazda protege lx. I've been to two mechanics and so far they've concluded that the fan, hoses, thermostat, & lack of coolant fluid are NOT to blame for overheating. One mechanic told me it was either the head gasket or the heater core... I'm not sure either one is truly the problem because there are no symptoms typical when that is the case.
FYI
Engine gets to warm within 2-3 minutes of driving, starts to overheat after 12 minutes of driving, the heater brings the temperature back down to warm, and there is no coolant fluid leaking.
Could this just be a clog? Thanks for any info
