All of the online wheel shops only show 20" rims or larger for the GT AWD. It's hard to get a definitive answer from Mazda on whether there are any differences between the GT AWD brakes and the Sport or Touring trims. Anybody have any comments on whether it's safe to just shop for rims using the Touring AWD trim so I can order 18" rims?

Thanks for any advice.

They all show 20" wheels because that's what it came with. any 18" wheel will fit any of the trim levels for any of the years. They all have the same brakes and suspension set up. I just picked up a set of OEM 18X8 wheels to run snow tires. The only trouble you may get into is running low offset wheels (think big lip, wide rims). If you keep the offset at/near stock, 45mm for 8" wide rim, you'll be good.

I went with 18x8 +35 for my winter setup. You can see them via the link in my sig. I choose the +35 to push the wheels out a little, as they're tucked pretty good from factory with the 20x7 +48 or what ever it was.
