with what offset and tire? i ASSUME you used the 235 RA1.

Its hard to remember because we don't have the wheels here anymore. They were a 47 or 48 Offset. 235/40/17 Tire.

Mazdaspeed Motorsports might ahve those wheels still available through them.

Didn't you guys have to hack the inner fenders a little to make it fit and run 2.5 diameter springs?

I personally think 8" is too wide for daily street use. we already have enough torque steer and plus the car will be very twitchy with every crack on the road. I notice it even with my 7" and 7.5" should be max, 8" I can even imagine

are you sure, I dont think so especially not in a fwd car. but I could be wrong. I'm just going off by what I remember and by what my car feels like from the stock 6" to my summer 7"

I was going to run the wheels in an Auto-X but never got around to running htem. We did fit the wheels on the car (My MSP). The front's were fine and the rears were questionable because my Fenders weren't rolled.

that could very well be a product of sidewall stiffness. i could be wrong about the relation of wheel width to the impact on tracking, i have to go back and look at my notes.

also, I know that GM put thinner wheels on the front of the GrandPrix and Monte Carlo with the V-8 option cause of the twitchyness and torque steer. might not be related but I think it is same...maybe

ohh yeah, oops it's the other way around. either way, I still feel a HUGE difference from the change of 1". but Idont think the parada spec 2's have stiff sidewalls. they seem to be softer than most other tires I've seen.
