130... With Proof...

Guys,

I just tried 160 km/h (100 mph) and my tach was at 4800.

Not that I'm scared to bring it up to 210, but I would hate to get caught at that speed. Can you lose your license (if you have a clean record and never got any tickets)?

Longest....thread...ever..Yes you can loose you license according to my uncle.

Reckless driving in Ohio is 20 over the speed limit. You can get 30 days in jail and 1 year license suspension for it. 130mph? I imagine the judge will frown upon that.
Say bye bye license (hi) bye bye

Man i know for a fact that the rpm's are way off. at 4k (87mph) at 45K ( 105mph) 5K (115mph) 55K (125Mph). So being at 5000rpms at 130 is way off by like 15-20mph. also the car can reach the speed's of 125-130 in the P5 it's just how willing of a risk are you going to take.

im sorry but i just dont agree with you, i believe it depends on what your boosting as to what rpm u will be at what speed ur at.

what is it that you don't agree on, I mean in my MP3 at 5000rpms the car is idling at 115mph. 2500rpms is set at about 55-56mph double that, it's at about 110-112mph.

he's basically saying that at x speed u should be at x rpm, and i think it differs from car to car based on ur setup etc.. and being that we were talking about msp's i seriously think that depending on what psi ur boosting at would have alot more to do with what rpm u'd be reading at x speed.

Ok i think the MSP's speed's at a certain RPM are different than a MP3 or p5. I think C&D tested the speed's of the MSP:

1st 6600rpms(38mph)
2nd 6600rpms(62mph)
3rd 6600rpms(87mph)
4th 6600rpms(117mph)
5th 4980rpms(130mph)

Yeah, you are correct on the car biased being Turbo. Well since you were talking about the MSP, i'm sorry" i thought you were talking about the P5 or MP3. But yeah the p5 and MP3's speed's should be at the same Rpm's. ;)

no your still not understanding what im getting at..

listen carefully, im saying the x rpm - x speed is gonna differ from car to car due to mods and setups...
becuz in my car when i hit 132 i was about 4.5k rpms and the guy in the video was at 5k at 132... explain that.. i would say its the different setups that we have. stock yes what your saying makes sense.. but when you add in mods and different things i believe its gonna change.

If youre Boosting higher than stock, then yes i tend to agree, but i have mod's on my car and nothing has change at all"referring to speed's at rpms. It's still the same.

the only mods that can change speed at x-rpm are wheels/tires (different circumference(diameter x pi)), clutch(due to the stock not holding up to the torque and slipping), or changing the actual gears in the tranny. there are no ifs ands or buts about this.

I am not trying to flame anyone, but this is plain physics talking

Thank you, I was reading down and hoping someone would stop this before it got ridiculous.

If your drivetrain is going at X speed, your engine WILL be at Y speed (rpm) depending on which gear you are using. It has nothing to do with boosting, or turbo, or whatever.

What does boost do to an engine? Gets more air into the combustion chamber so you can have a bigger explosion. What does that do? Make the car get somewhere faster.

Boost does not magically let the engine work less at a certain speed in a certain gear.

Your engine is connected to your drivetrain, it HAS to run at the same ratio for two cars with the same tranny. Like he said, unless your clutch is slipping.
