~13.53 @ 105.67mph ~ AP/SRI only~

I went to the strip Saturday also. I wish I had the cool temps you had, it was 75 here but I still ran my best time yet. 13.511 @ 106.64. I have a few more mods than you so your time is very good. I was running the OTS Stg1+SF93v105 FMIC. I don't know how to set up the LC/FFS. I read that a couple of people blew up trying to use it, so I've stayed away.

The other car was a Roush Mustang. It looked like he had problems with 3rd gear and I pulled up on him before he surged late and beat me. That would have been very embarrassing for him.

Haha that Stang was pissed reguarless lol. Great runs man, I have been following your success as well.

Hey man, if you can get 60fts like that, and don't miss gears, forget about the LC/FFS. I could not get gears after I got the AP because of the engine movement at my newfound 6k+ rpms. Your bushings and mount probably keep that from happening.

How did your run feel? Also, did you hit 5th gear?

My first run yesterday I did my best 60ft ever, 2.168 but the car just seemed flat up top or maybe I shifted too early or something. This run was still 13.660@103.69. My second run I spun 1st, 2.249 60ft but the car pulled hard up top with a trap of 106.14 in 13.699

My third and last run was the 13.511 @ 106.64. I ran the RPM up higher before shifting and the car took off up top. I always use 5th and try to get into it early.

I wish I had run the gears out further on that 1st run, I might have run a 13.4

I enjoy racing the car but feel bad about beating on it. After that last run I decided that was fast enough and did not to try for the 15.4

Afterward, I reviewed the logs of the runs and I was running scary lean. I'm going to calibrate my MAF and learn how to add fuel to the map using ATR

I just realized you don't have the colder plugs yet. You need them ASAP and cobb recommends having them with the AP. Denso IVT22 $48 shipped from SU. Money well spent. I'm on my second set already, swapped in new ones after 12,000 miles on the 1st.
The plugs still looked good but I had the new ones and put them in when I installed the FMIC. It is easy changing out the plugs now that the TMIC is gone. I was running one step colder plugs before the AP.

I am missing the point.

Are you trying to say that the AP (with SRI) works as advertised or that it works better than expected or...?

Why the hate in your tone? I didn't try to say anything, I just shared my experience. I guess the title of the thread implies I am satisfied w/ the run, if that is what you are asking. Sorry if I offended you somehow.

True, I know the plugs are recommended, I hope to get them soon. Wow only good for 12k miles?

They were probably still good but I wanted fresh plugs to go with my FMIC so I could make a run on that 13.4

Hate??? Relax, I asked you a simple question.

Factoring in your specific mods, the temperature, humidity, tire pressure, etc., etc., how can you possibly determine what a good ET is?
(that was a rhetorical question)

Nice run man! I am going to try to find a drag strip local to me, i hear there are a few within 30 miles - just need to look into it. Wonder if i can beat my friend's S2k :)

You seem angry

doesn't seem that angry to me. did you see his original post?
there wasn't any underlying tone, there wasn't any harshness to it.
now you make a post without underlying tones and without harshness, someone says, "yo, why you hatin?" wouldn't you be a little perturbed?

Sorry, I guess I just don't understand your point either lol. Please elaborate if you so choose.

Yeah do it up! What do you and your friend have in the way of mods?

I'm stock at the moment because of autocross, but my friend has an intake, coil overs, and slotted rotors with steel braided brake lines.

OOOO that should make for a close drag race! Good luck to you. I think you will get him by a couple lengths though :).

I was curious, so I looked them up on Drag Times. It looks like several stock S2000s have run 13.7, so really I should have asked you if he is a good driver lol. But then again I think someone hit that w/ MS3, so that will definatley be a good 1/4 race! From a roll you'd walk him prolly. Let us know how you make out dude.

Hey man, how often do you go to Cecil County? I just picked up a MS3 and heading there this friday.

i've ran at cecil county raceway before and i noticed my RT's were WAY low for some reason. i've ran at capitol raceway a few times and they were normal for a novice (between .500 and 1.000). i remember one of my RT's at cecil was .006, i gotta find that slip for some proof...lol

damn good time by the way there
