*edit* with a 1.8 60ft you shouldnt have any problem breaking into high 12's with that trap speed. (first)
You really think so? I'm not so sure about it. Did you run slicks with your 13.8? What was your 60'?

I think with the car running the same it did when you turned a 13.4 you can get there. Every tenth on the 60' helps tons @ the big end.

holla back!!! Holly s*** so Banana-mobile IS fast after all, haha. Dana good s***. I just got your pm. Im ******* sick as a dog.....hardcore fever.(deadhorse

I wonder what GT28RS will do, hehehehe

Good to see the Goodyear Eagle F1's hook up. I have a set on my MSP. By street tire, I mean a competition tire like a drag radial or slick. Yes some of those can be street legal, but they are not exactly what I think of as a street tire.

every tenth off your 60ft time equals about .2 off your 1/4 mile time....but with slicks you will have a lower trap speed.

I would love to see that for real!! (eek2)

it hasn't been on the track for over a year due to the actual owner of the car was killed(shot)
but a couple weeks before he died he was consistanly running 11s w/ a H22,and a 150 shot.

Yeah, that sounds about right. So i need a 1.9 or 2.0 to run 12s. :-O

kooldino-------what you dyno at with your setup?
273 at the wheels on a dynojet @ about 16psi.

However, the car has much more power on colder days.

man,I can't wait to get mine to the track, and dynoed.

Very nice...think you can break into the 12's on street tires? What times would you estimate on "street legal" slicks or straight up slicks?

...and yes it's pretty damn sweet that both "Super Mods" have highly modded Mazdas! (2thumbs)

Antoine, That is a very very hard thing to do, that 0.5 Second is like the holy grail on street tires..

I think he can do it, but it will take more Boost and weight reduction (If Possible)

Very sorry to hear that. :( The car sounds sick.

Not unless I dumped a LOT more cash into my car. No one with a 3rd gen Protege has ever broken into the 12s on street tires, AFAIK.

Well, I should have my street legal slicks next week, so we'll see.

Good point. I could go nuts and completely gut my car to drop weight. I may be able to pull it off then, but i'm not really willing to gut the car for a night at the track.

My car is still "Stock Looking" inside. I refuse to gut the car for that...
