Just bought this car about a month ago.
127,000 miles
FMIC
CAI
Exhaust- not sure on specifics
Greedy turbo timer
Boost gauge
AFR gauge

I think that's it lol it's got a few problems but for my first car didn't matter to me. The BOV is spitting oil, someone told me the seals on the turbo are bad? The usual clunk in the rear, and the hesitation after the car reaches operating temp and I boost...only
sometimes though I think I just need a ssafc cause when it hesitates my AFR gauge is all the way green. I'll post picks soon build will be a long process but Im not very engine
savvy so I started rhis instead of making 10000 random question threads so plaese stop
in and help me out from time to time guys thanks and don't laugh at my stupidity lol

Post up some pictures. If the BOV is leaking oil the turbo must be blowing a LOT of oil. Take off the hot pipe and see if there is oil in it. If it's leaking out the BOV it's probably coating your IC and making it not very effective.
You should upgrade to the narrowband to a wideband, the lights on the narrowband AFR don't really tell you anything.

Alright will do, what should I do if there is oil in there? And I plan on upgrading car came with the cheap narrowband, got a sweet idea I seen a magazine for my gauges but not my main priority.
Plan on posting pics soon at work right now 24 hour duty, stupid army lol

If the turbo seals leak all you can do is replace the turbo. You can't rebuild the stock turbo but you can buy the center cartridge (CHRA) for the stock GT2554R turbo. If you buy the cartridge you can remove the turbo on the car, unbolt each compressor housing and swap the center cartridges then bolt it back together. The other option would be buy a used or new turbo, either the stock T25 or upgrade to a T28, depends on what you plan to do with the car.

I'm deffinatley going to upgrade but not sure to what I wanna go big lol, I was thinking the gtx3071r I know it will spool slower but how much slower we talking? I think that's the turbo lol been sitting here for hours looking at stuff.

So i was on 24hr duty yesterday and i was on this site pretty much the whole time and i read about a guy who had just bought a msp and thought itmight have forged internals i know the only way to tell is by pulling the motor apart or the oil pan off but i was wondering if you guys could help cause when i bought my cars(2 months ago) i was boosting 12psi when i get on it, i dont have a boost controller of any type so correct me if im wrong but the previous ower would have had to have gotten a tune right? and noone in their right mind would boost 12psi on stock internals and126,000 miles right so either my engines is tippy toeing the edge of suicide or its got new internals, what do you guys think? im a pretty spirited driver.

Dropping the oil pan this weekend hoping for some shiny rods lol I'll keep you guys posted.

Yea I'm thinking so to, and I figured out I was only spiking to 12psi boostin 9 psi but I do have a split sec psc1 but does me no good cause i don't havevthe r4 software.

i would consider trying to keep the boost below 10psi if ur on stock internals. Check ur wastegate too could be ******

I need new tie rods I know you can go through a Mazda dealership, but I was wondering if anyone knew of a diff. Way to aquire these?

difference is price and design. and you can download the r4 software from off of here. Just find the split second thread.

Yea I got the r4 software thanks man, I think I'm Gunna go with the k1 rods if the difference is just the design there's no point in spending the extra money.

Future mods (coming soon)
Bored .020 over port and polished
arias 8.5:1 compression Pistons
k1 rods
Super tech valve springs, and exhaust valves
Getting crank shaft knife edged and shot peened
Doc b oil pump (if I can find one)
New oil squirters
And all supporting shiot lol I.e bearings head bolts etc.

Just bought my k1 rods and wiseco pistons, trying to find a good place to have all my motor work done, I live in Virginia so any input or if anyone knows someone that has done Mazda work plz let me know, I will be going home to Florida for like 2 weeks at the end of July so I could have it done there but that's cutting it close if there's any problems

Was sent molnar rods apparently same as k1 pistons enrout, waiting on quote from the shop to get my work done
