So the RX-8 out handles the EVO VIII? I do believe the EVO had a better skidpad and faster slalom time than the RX-8.

forget the power difference from it and an STI.

STI - 2.5L Turbo putting out 300 hp stock
RX8 - 1.3L Rotary putting out 238 hp stock

1.2L less... and only 62hp less.

Just thinking about displacement differences boggles my mind and makes me a rotary believer over and over again.

I had the chance to test drive an RX8 and must say that thing revs up like a motorcycle. Nothing like bring her sideways around a city block with the salesman in the back saying 'give her more!' (rockon)

Your forgetting one thing......Torque.

Just torque is fun, but HP is at high RPMs and when you get there so quick it almost doesn't matter.

But yes i agree, if the engine were torquery (sp) it would be 3x more fun.
