Okay,

Does everyone have this problem with their rear bumpers from the exhaust?

Thank you '05 Ford F-150. At least the person is also insured with State Farm.

Here are a few more pics without the bumper on:

Thanks. Heck, I had to call 911 on an old lady yesterday morning. She was at a stand still in her vehicle, on the LEFT LANE, and I was like what tha heck..... As soon as I got into the left lane, she turned her blinker on and did not even move the vehicle and there was no traffic around her. Scared the heck out of me even more. I passed by her vehicle and came up to the light. She was right behind me. At the light, I turned right and stoped my RENTAL vehicle and advised the officer. Well, guess what? That old lady ended up right behind the vehicle honking at me. I told the officer that as well. The old lady kept honking and honking. She finally got into the driving lane and turned into the doctors office where I was parked in front of. I told the cop I was going to pull in and give her her license plate info. I told the cop this old lady does NOT NEED TO BE DRIVING A VEHICLE ANYWHERE!!!!! Since this town sucks, I bet no cop went to that doctors office to talk to the old lady. Welcome to the Rio Grande Valley (Deep South Texas/Mexico).

I get the Speed3 back tomorrow. I put this on the new hatchback door two days ago at the body shop. I will add more to it within the next few weeks. It's XPEL Carbon Film.

Sucks you got rear-ended. Not really digging the carbon fiber film, but at least it will keep the black spots from showing up as much. You should see how bad they show on a white one... it's impossible to keep the back clean.

That is why I put Carbon Film on my Speed the other day. I get it back on Monday and I will take out the bubbles since I did not have much time while I was puting it on the other night. I will be adding more Carbon Film to my car within the next few weeks. I hate seeing all of that black junk on my car. This morning, they started it up so I could hear what it sounds like with the downpipe and Borla. Big change.

The spots are not really from the car running so rich. Its because of the condensation that builds up in the stock muffler and as the carbon builds up in there it just comes out as the water comes out of the tail pipes. It does not happen with most aftermarket exhausts because the the mufflers are mostly a straight through design and don't really allow for water to build up.

Well, since I got the car back from the body shop, it really does not have that problem. While it was there in the body shop, they placed the borla car back and downpipe on the car. The only lil problem it has now is that I need to find a way to keep the front wheels from wanting to spin all of the time. LOL

Is there a good aftermarket exhaust you would recommend that would eliminate the black splatters? It's so bad on my car it's almost ridiculous. I've avoided aftermarket exhausts in the past because I don't want my car to have the fart-can sound. So I would want something that sounds close to stock.

/waiting for obvious CorkSport recommendation. :)

My cars problem has basically been taken care of by adding the Borla Exhaust & ATP 3" Stainless Catless High Flow Downpipe. I will be adding additional XPEL Carbon Film to the lower and upper parts of the rear bumper so it will almost take care of EVERYTHING.

Here is what mine looks like now:

Get the bumper wrapped in the carbon film yet? I'm interested in what this will look like.

Nope. I have not done mine yet since the company put the film on hold. There is a problem with the film not sticking to the paint. I'm waiting for them to give me a call when the carbon film is available once again.

Has it stayed stuck to the hatch okay for you?
Also, sidebar, how do you like your yellow fogs?

The film, on the hatch door, is fine. I was about to drive up to San Antonio then next day when the called me and said that they will not be able to do it since it was not sticking correctly. I still have the clear bra in there areas from the day I bought it.
