1.6 engine swap out

Well, Because the original post stated that it was a "Payment Takeover" I assume that the budget is a thousand or less. Honestly, it costs alot of money to go faster. There are a couple of cheap things that will help but they all add a little bit (Very Little).

This is what I eventually ended up with in my Protege 5. It will waste a Honda Civic DX.

If all you want to do is waste a Honda, Look for a cheap old Porsche 944. I got one for $2500.00 US.

did anyone look at my post??? the engine tranny , halfshafts , will fit right in, its the wiring and shift linkages that is the problem..

I'm glad everyone is egar to help "mind the whole sell the car.. it's got some body damage and still has a few grand left on it so that is out of the option" new thing tho, I need to keep this car running until i get the engine swap under way which seems to be a problem right now, i believe the mass-airflow sensor is ******* up and i don't want to replace it, I've heard of people messing with the wiring so you don't need the sensor at all, anyone help me on that, if i didn't have that sensor it would be much easier to route a cool air intake.. thanks

one to short, one to long, he is getting a custom one made, which if you know how to weld , should not be hard.

maybe put some boost on it when I have the engine.

didn't u say it would cost you too much...why not just boost the 1.6l from the beginning?

but good luck on all of this, keep like a step by step thread or something on this swap..i'm actually quite curious as to what you planning here and how it'll turn out(thumb)

Ummm. All Calculations that the ECU make are based off that Mass Air Sensor. You Must replace it if it's busted. No Question.

ummm, no...how about the pedal assembly,the shift forks, the shifter,knob, and aren't ecu's transmission specific ?

i am at my wit's end with hiboost...i've waited 46 days now for a manifold and downpipe...I'm about to tell juan to refund my money, sell off the rest of the turbo parts AND the protege and get me like an 03 mustang gt..I get my title next month on the protege
