This will be a classic. Thank you :)

that is exacly what i thought you dumfuck are just a bunch or illeterates that only brag about their little person but when they get beaten they start saying all sort of stupid thing so that we get our attention away from the subject that is im faster than YOU :p

I know I am not a P5 but my MP3 ran 2-16.7 runs my first time at the track. And a guy I know has a P5 ran against me and ran 16.9 on an all stock P5.

You guys have a damn attitude problem, this is a personnal attack against Canadians and French Speaking people. What the heck is your problem. I think the moderator of this forum should do something about this. And by the way I know 5Guardian, and he's not a lyer. I would advise you guys to stck to the facts and keep away from personnal attacks, we all have the same passions here, Mazda cars.

First of all, I really don't understand your attitude, either. I would like to know what is the problem about starting bitching about french people. The problem is not about a frenchguy that is saying something that you believe is not right. The proble is about guys french or english that are telling their times on track with no time slip to proove it. So stop being stupind like that and starting a fight against french people.

I would also like to understand one thing. We are supposed to be a group of Protege guy that are showing their "enthousiasm" about their car. So why can't you accept that some people are able to do good time with their car and instead of telling that they are lyiars why don't you just ask how they did. What was their setup ... etc. And most of all, ask for their TIME slip.

I understand that the mid 15 guy don't have his time slip... ok.

5 Guardian has his, so why don't you wait for it??? Because it is more aesy to start bitching aroud... it faster and easyer than waiting for proof.

It think that some of u should just grow up. And for the others, well you'll have the time slip to show it soon.

Thanks,
5 Type also known as Protege5Type from
clubprotegequebec ...
and it's not because we are french that you can say whatever you want in our back !!

Oh my God!!!! Watch out, the canucks are coming, and their pissed:eek: LMFAO. Give me a break, I was just saying, it's kind of dumb to tell people to go to a site, and it's in a different language. Think about it. And when did I ever contest the fact that you were faster, I could care less, I was looking for your time slip, and couldn't find it buried in the enigmatic French dialogue. Plus, I am not a ******* illiterate~~ and doesnt that go against your theory of people saying things to get off the subject yadda yadda yadda.
Please, with my command for linguistics, I will send you home crying to mommy. Come on, illiterate? Maybe you should learn how to spell~~haven't they started emphasizing that in Canada yet??? Guess not.

Remember everyone, not every Protege5 is created exactly the same. Not every engine is tuned identical to the next when it comes from Mazda. One car could be tuned a little different to provide a little more HP than the next. I'm not saying it could be tuned enough to go from a 17 1/2 second car to a 16 second car, but there can be some differences. I do agree that we need to see some time slips though.
I don't have time slips since I haven't been to a track, but I do have my dyno chart. This dyno was done at NOPI last September. Only mods are lowered suspension and 18" Rims.

CARS DO NOT VARY ALL THAT MUCH FROM THE FACTORY. I don't know who gave you that idea. The most I had ever seen any type of car vary in stock trim would be the Civic SI or SI R in Canada. Those can vary from 139whp to 142whp. But that is definately not enough to shave off even a tenth of a second. Let this be final post on this thread since it is correct.....No MP3, ES, P5 will get sub 16 seconds in factory trim "consistently". You'd have to running 140whp to get a 15.8 or less. If you look at what MazdaProbeGT posted....he's exactly right. I'm willing to say that with N2O you won't see less than 14.3.

Oh yeah.....go register damnit.:D

i think its possible for you guys with the Pro5's to get 17 flat or maybe less.... about all those car mags doing 1/4 timing... i think their drivers must suck.... b/c on my old car (2001 VW Golf TDI) motor trend and car and driver could only get an 18.1 in my car... i went to the track which was my first time ever and i ran a 17.6 in a car that had 90 hp, and 155 lb ft torque.... which basically shows most of their times are not very accurate or their test drivers suck...

PS after my mods on that car i ran 9.8 in the 1/8th mile..... which isvery good considdering i spent 600 dollars.

What is all your problems with your 1/4 miles time. I get 16.5 with my ES/GT STOCK and it was my first times at the dragway with my new car and the second times in my life.

I never make a runs over 17s. I launch at 4500-5000 rpm and after I go FULL throttle with power shift at 6000rpm.

For the time that 5 Guardian did (16.02), It's true, I was there.

Well, then if it's true you'll have no problem posting you timeslips. I know that if I ran a good time that I know people wouldn't believe, I would have kept the slip. But that's just me;) Maybe there's a Canadian time exchange that we're not aware of. :D

i ran a couple of 1/4 mile runs, not good guys not good around the 13s mark..

:D WHAT A TOOL:D

13's my a$$ you are lucky if the next car running in your lane did not hit you. HA! That sounds like a 1/8 time for your cars.

13's hahahaha the humor is just too much.

Ok, you wanna talk 1/4 mile times, I ran an 11.19. Beat that!:D
Ok, so it happened to be on a Honda 900RR motorcycle, but I did it.(Yes, that's sad for a bike, but I wasn't made to drag, gimme twisties!) Hell, I'll even try to post the slips for you in the next day or two. :p
As for my MP3, I'm guessing it would run about a 20 or so. It's slow as hell, and I wouldn't want to get laughed out of the track trying to run it down the 1/4. I'll stick to AutoX.
As for stock times, or even mods, we're just gonna look sad at the strip without turbo, superchargers, or N2O. I'm not even gonna try.
Just by fifty cents worth.

i don't know how fast this car is, but the only thing that i have done is add a reactive intake. and i just beat aguy tonight in a2002 gt mustang. then when the guy stops me at the next light he wants to know what the hell just beat him. i told him they should give a course on shifting free when you buy a stang cause he just beat himself. people should be less concerned with how much power is under the hood and just learn how to drive first!!!!

You have to have big balls to take a bike down the strip. I think you guys are crazy  One little slip and you're screwed. Don't get me wrong, I love bikes, but it's not IF you're gonna crash, but WHEN. That's some scary sh*t!

I've already had my "when". I was riding along minding my own business when a car ran a red light turning left in front of me. I laid it down and totaled the bike. I was wearing full leathers and a helmet (thank God), so I popped up and ran over to the drivers side door and pulled the guy out of the car. He was pretty much scared sh**less.
Scary part is, I was more worried about the bike than myself. :)
I don't really drag the bike much, I prefer riding the twisties in the back country roads. (I know, that's even more stupid. Thanks for the warning mom.) There's nothing like a little knee dragging not knowing where the turn you are in is headed to. :)
As for riding in general. I bought a new bike after the other one got totaled. Rode 15000 miles the first year. Can't wait for it to warm up so I can ride again. Almost went out for a while last night, but decided the MP3 needed a run around the city first. :D
