1/4 mile times with slip

Just got in from the track, I'll get the timeslip scanned shortly, but this nutty car just keeps going faster as I figure out how to drive it.

13.68@106.67 with only a MS CAI. Multiple 13.7x@105.x passes and a couple of other 106.x mph passes. I think it's getting broken in now. Crossed 1000 miles on the drive home.

Seriously badass little car. Now someone get me control of the throttle blade! Next mod is a decent set of motor mounts. I can't powershift 2-3 yet.

WTF!! All you have on is intake??

I'm not too suprised by the et but that 106.67 Trap is insane for only intake (boom06)

Dear God, I need to learn how to drive... :(

I'm pretty surprised, too. I was thrilled with the 102.7 but the harder I whip this thing, the faster it goes. Bear in mind, now, that I've made 34 passes in the past 8 days so I'm getting a pretty decent amount of seat time in short span (I'm an avid drag racer, at the track at least once a week - this is my beater car).

I won the Turbo 4 class at a track rental for a local group today (note the T4-3 on the timeslip as my car number). Beat out (one way or another) a pair of SRT-4s, a FWD turbo Eclipse, and a turbocharged Focus.

I've attached the timeslip (I think) because FTP to my personal web site isn't working at the moment.

Damn! You picked up 24mph during the 2nd half.

I wonder who's going to be the first to knock Driver311 off the top spot...

Would a "test/race pipe" be considered a Mid pipe?

Please post time in the following format:
SN - 60ft, 1/8th(et and mph), 1/4, (et and mph) (Mods)ASL (feet above sea level)

oh i see, you extrapolated where u speed would be by using ur times. 4.8 sec is amazing. 6000rpm on 1st and 2nd? arent you just gonna be spinnin ur tires?but my tires arent that sticky. so would u say that technique would work with one type of tire and not the other?

I've got the stock rubber on still... doesn't get much worse than that.

if those are your mods, it will be i/tbe/mm and you should be running LOW 13s. work on that launch!!!!!

Wow... definitely a factory freak, but with some of these cars putting down 250whp stock, it's not surprising. For once, Mazda underrated a motor. Go figure! :) It should be even faster in another 10-20k miles.

remember to keep an eye on your a/f ratios... the mazdaspeed intake has been causing problems... probably won't see anything with just the intake, but as you start adding parts, make sure you're monitoring what you need to in order to stay safe!

What size of slicks are you guys using for your MS3?
Anything for the stock 18" wheel?
If not what size wheel and slicks is the right combo that will still fit?
